Well here I am finally back to my very own blog! I really had sorta forgotten all about it. But, now that I am using Google Chrome as my default browser, I am being more exposed to Google's different services, etc., and I am really excited about all there is to offer!

Things that have changed since I last logged into My Blog:
1. I am now a grandma. Ava McClure Cassidy was born on December 12, 2009, at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville, PA. She now is almost 4 months old and as beautiful as ever! My son is very proud of himself and I am very proud of him. He has created a decent life for his little family. I just wish that things were better with his wife and me and my family. She seems to want to just write us out of their lives. I'm wondering if it's just a control thing. I don't want to control. I merely want my son to be happy and fulfilled, and to have him and his life be a major part of my life. I don't want to control what he does with or in his life. I can not, for the life of me, see why she has to be the way she is. I have always been welcoming to her and tried to make her feel at-home when she visits my home. For some reason, she believes that I "have never much cared for her". These are her exact words. Not true, for me, anyways. Well, I don't want to get into this right now, so I will leave that topic for another day!
2. I turned 55. Yep, it's true. I am now 55 years of age. It is very hard for me to face that I am getting soooo old. I don't feel 55. It is true that I have some aches and pains, but I just don't feel old. I still have a youthful outlook and feel for life. I do have a few health problems and I did get on disability at the end of 2008 though.  So, age is catching up with me!!!
3. Butch, my dog, is now 9 years old and is beginning to show his age. In dog years, it makes him about 61 years old. Older that I am! He is really starting to slow down. He has what I think is arthritis in his right rear leg. He sometimes limps pretty bad and I have to give hi 2 aspirins for the pain. I am now trying to get him to lose a couple pounds. My son insists he is fat! (the dog) I, too, realize, he needs to lose about 5-8 lbs. So I switched to a lower fat diet for him and I think it has fewer calories, too. I have cut down on his biscuits, too.

Well, this is a couple of the major changes in my life that I can think of now. I will put on my thinking hat and come back soon to add more of my thoughts!
